Arenal de Javea school commemorates World Autism Day

STUDENTS OF the communication and language classroom (CyL) of the Arenal de Javea school visited the Mercat Municipal this week to take part in an education activity to commemorate World Autism Day.

Accompanies by their teachers and the Councillor for Education, Montse Villaverde, the students distributed pictogram cards amongst the stalls, to be hung in a visible area making products more easily identifiable, which in turn will improve accessibility of the market for children with autism.

The owners of the stalls got involved too and generously gave vouchers to the children who were able to make purchases afterwards.
