Darth Vader takes over Torrevieja

SIX shopping merchants across Torrevieja have come together to organise the commercial campaign to promote local commerce when purchasing gifts for Father’s Day, which is observed in Spain on March 19 as opposed to the UK date which falls in June.

The campaign can be seen advertised around the city and has already proved very popular with adults and children alike. In the advert, Darth Vader is seen saying ‘I am your father, look for me in the shops of Torrevieja’.

Customers of the local shops involved in the campaign will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with ‘Darth Vader’ who will be paying random visits on Saturday and even purchasing gifts for unsuspecting ‘chosen ones’, as Obi-Wan-Kenobi would say.
