Guided nature walk in l’Alfàs del Pi

THE town council of l’Alfàs del Pi is inviting all residents and neighbours of the municipality on a guided walk this Sunday, exploring their unique collection of trees.

With the imminent arrival of spring, nature returns to put on an extraordinary show and the council of environment of the town hall of l’Alfàs del Pi invites all residents and neighbours to join them on a specially designed route visiting half a dozen trees.

l’Alfàs del Pi has one of the most extensive and best preserved catalogues of unique trees in the province. A natural treasure that is still unknown to many of its residents and neighbours, with specimens scattered throughout the entire municipality.

The walk will leave from the House of Culture and walkers will go on to visit the pine of the Plaza Mayor, the tree that gives name to the municipality.

The top tree on the list being the impressive carob tree of Foia Brell – the tree that has been around longer than the Comunitat Valenciana at an age of almost 800 years.

The walk will begin at 10.30am on Sunday and will last for approximately three hours. All participants will receive water and a piece of fruit on arrival and those who complete it in full will be able to replenish their energy with a small lunch that will be offered free of charge in the municipal sports center, where the route ends.
