LA NUCIA celebrated its 4th International Day on Sunday in the Pabellon Deportivo Camilo Cano.
Many nationalities showcased their traditions, costumes, customs and of course, cuisines, leaving no chance anyone could have gone home hungry.
The stage enjoyed performances throughout the day from musicians, singers and dancers including a number of very young performers.
The U3A Marina Baixa ‘Olde Tea Shoppe’ was busy all day long, serving copious amounts of tea and coffee with an excellent variety of cakes and buns, all home baked and donated by the members.
The U3A raised in excess of €500 for charity and said ‘such success makes all the hard work worthwhile’.
U3A Marina Baixa holds its general meetings on the fourth Monday of each month in the auditorium at the Casa de Cultura, Alfaz del Pi. Doors open at 10.00am and the registration desk closes at 10.50am for a prompt 11.00 am start.
Please note that the next meeting will be on Monday the 20 March, due to a double booking of the room.
