New community purpose plots in Javea

THE TOWN  Council of Javea recently purchased two plots of government-owned land in Granadella and La Plana.

The 13,805€ plot in Granadella, close to the beach, spans 985 m2 and the 11,681€ La Plana plot, is located inside the Montgo National Park, covering a 1,200 m2 area.

Both will be used for community purposes. The La Plana plot includes a building which was used in the past by the Guardia Civil but is now derelict and likely to be demolished.

Negotiations with the national government began in 2016 and the council were keen to acquire the strategically-situated plots to ensure that they remained public property.

The sale agreement was signed by Javea mayor Jose Chulvi and Antonio Rodriguez Laso, the national government’s Economy and Treasury delegate for Alicante Province.
