New Spanish bull run tradition

IT IS getting to that time of year where the bull runs start.

I love living in Spain and taking the family to see all the Spanish traditions.

I do worry about the safety of my children though when we go to our local town to watch the bulls.

I usually only take them to see the baby bull run as the older ones are far too aggressive.

I read somewhere that in Madrid they have changed the tradition and instead of real bulls they use a large polystrene ball which they call “Boloncierro”.

Although still dangerous as this large 10 foot wide ball is rolling down the street, it is still just as exciting for the children to watch everyone jumping out the way.

Do you think this new tradition will take part in other towns?
