TEULADA MORAIRA has signed an agreement with airline company Iberia to appear in their magazine, which is read every month by two million people in more than 50 countries.
The municipality will feature in the magazine, which is available on all Iberia, Iberia Express and Air Nostrum flights as well as in the VIP halls of Madrid airport and in the 57 international airport halls of the Iberia network.
This new action is identified in the Local Tourism Identity Plan 2016 – 2020 as a national and international promotion and follows efforts that took place last year in which promotional material was distributed in the train station Atocha, Madrid as travelers passed through whilst attending the International Tourism Fair.
Carlos Linares, mayor and councilor of Tourism of Teulada Moraira, explained that the objective of this new advertising strategy is to attract more tourists from different countries and reinforce Teulada Moraira as an ideal holiday destination.
Describing tourism as the ‘economic engine’ of the municipality, he says that the relevant bodies will work very hard to continue to invest in tourism and promote the municipality, by innovating in new media with which to reach more members of the public.
Linares confirmed that alongside the advertising efforts, large-scale events are being planned to attract tourists as well as encourage the commercial and gastronomic activity of Teulada Moraira.
