The heat is on for Spring

THREE TOWNS in the Murcian region were in the top ten of temperatures recorded in Spain last week as warm Spring weather hit the area.

Last Tuesday Archena which sits on the Segura River saw a temperature just 0.1 degree less than the highest temperature of the day. The thermometer touched 24.6 degrees at 16.00h leaving it the second hottest place in the country that day behind Xativa in the Valencia region which peaked at 24.7 degrees.

The figures released by the State Meteorological Agency Aemet also showed both the towns of Molina de Segura and Mula were also in the top ten highest temperatures recorded that day.

The good weather and higher temperatures are set to continue through the weekend across the whole of Spain with the thermometer expected to rise well above 24 degrees again.
