THE VELAR is Land Rover’s newest addition to its lineup and is pitched against the Porche Macan and the BMW X6.
Showing at the Geneva Motor Show and due to be in showrooms for early summer, the newly styled body is set to be it’s new coupe model. Said to be every bit as spacious as the Macan and the Jaguar F-Pace this could prove to be a very popular model.
Priced at around 44.000£ filling a market gap for mid to top end SUVs.
The new interior boasts a triple screen dashboard setup and can also have the 12.3 inch TFT virtual cockpit module that tilts and activates on engine startup. plenty of engine variations, all hooked up to an eight speed automatic transmission and four wheel drive.
The Velar will be built at Jaguar Land Rover’s plant in Solihull, where it will go down the same production line as the Range Rover Sport and F-Pace. Land Rover is taking orders now, and the first UK customers should get their cars from July.
