THE JAVEA Department of Culture has announced that registration is now open for the XXXII Javea International Music Course to be held from July 21 – July 27.
The annual event – organised by oboist Thomas Indermulhe – has attracted much publicity in recent years, bringing together young musicians from all over the world.
The course is aimed at woodwind musicians and will have professors such as Indermulhe (oboe), Vicens Prats (flute), Jose Luis Estelles (clarinet), David Tomas Realp (bassoon) and Will Sanders (horn), with Amedeo Salvato and Angese Eglina as accompanying pianists.
Students will receive intensive training across the week in both individual and collective classes and receive help and guidance on any personal compositions.
The course is combined with the Musica a l’Estiu festival, with teachers and students performing recitals every night after class.
Those interested in registering for a place can obtain information at both the Conservatorio Profesional de Musica (96 579 6036) and by email – [email protected]
Places cost 280€ and students will be offered special prices for nearby accommodation at Hotel Miramar, Hostal Carrio and Hostal Roig.
