TODAY is the best day to book your Easter flights.

Studies carried out by Skyscanner have shown that flights to European cities should be booked six weeks in advance to save on average 12 per cent.

The most reserved flights out of Spain over the four-day Easter period are to Lisbon, Rome, Paris or London.

Domestic flights, on the other hand, are best booked thirteen weeks in advance to save on average 9 per cent and if you are planning on flying to another continent, to save on average 8 per cent, you need to be particularly organised and book 25 weeks in advance.

Skyscanner’s study also found that Spaniards do not know the best time to book their flights, with only 28 per cent of residents managing their flights in a timely manner. Sixty per cent of travellers report regretting not having booked sooner – 30 per cent book their flights to European destinations 4 weeks in advance – 10 per cent book ‘last minute’, two weeks or less before making the trip.

Spain receives the most tourists over the four-day Easter period in Palma, Barcelona and Madrid.
