69-year-old man rescued from seven metre drop on Orihuela golf course

MEDICS AND firemen rushed to the aid of a 69-year-old Danish golfer who had fallen down a seven-metre-deep ravine on the Las Ramblas golf course at around 6.30pm last Friday.

The man fell whilst playing golf and became trapped at the bottom of the ravine until he could be rescued with the help of a ladder truck and several firemen from Torrevieja.

He was transported by an SAMU ambulance to the University Hospital of Torrevieja, conscious but having suffered multiple bruises and blow on the head and the arm.

The Las Ramblas gold course is crossed, by the Barranco del Lobo and the River Nacimiento.
