Altea police adds to its vehicle fleet

THE LOCAL Police of Altea have added two new vehicles to its fleet, comprising five cars and six motorcycles.

The Mayor of Altea, Jaume Llinares, and the Councillor for Traffic and Public Safety, Vicent Ripoll delivered the vehicles to the Head of the Local Police of Altea, Herminio Navarro last week.

These new urban SUVs replace two older models from the fleet and benefit from 130 horse power, essential to access areas such as the Sierra de Altea.

Both vehicles also have the latest technology lights, sirens and an attenuator that minimises noise. They are equipped with the latest communications technology – both a TETRA and COMDES system.
