Javea pays homage to Miguel Hernandez on World Book Day

THE Javea Public Library has prepared a special programme of activities to commemorate World Book Day, celebrated every year on April 23.

This year, the works of poet Oriolana Miguel Hernandez will be celebrated, as 2017 marks the 75th anniversary of his death.

Vicent Camps will be reading a selection of his poems on Tuesday 25 at 7.00pm on la calle Mayor, followed by a variety of recitals from members of the seccion internacional group of the library.

Throughout the day on Tuesday, the ground floor of the library will play host to a second-hand book market, which will open again at the Mercat Municipal on Wednesday along with a book exchange.
