Selomar mural finds a new home

VISITORS TO to the Levante Beach in Benidorm have long admired the beautiful mural sitting above the entrance of the Selomar Hotel.

However, since the hotel fell into disrepair and caught fire a few years ago, the mural has remained as a sad and fading reminder of the hotel’s previous glory days.

However, as part of an initiative to clean up the façade of the empty building in time for summer, the owners of the hotel have agreed to pass the mural over to the heritage department of Benidorm City council.

The mural, which features sailors on a boat, will now be cleaned up, restored and moved to a new location in the city, where people can see it in a more suitable environment.
