SpeedQuizzing comes to Spain

DURTY NELLY’S Irish Bar plays host to Torrevieja’s first SpeedQuiz this Thursday, April 13 from 8.00pm.

SpeedQuizzing is a high octane fast paced pub quiz with a difference – no paper, no pens and no cheating!

SpeedQuizzing is played on smartphones or tablets. One tablet or smartphone is required per team with the free SpeedQuizzing Virtual Buzzer+ app installed from the App Store. The app works on Apple, Android and Kindle smartphones and tablets.

SpeedQuizzing has revolutionised the traditional pub quiz and introduces the element of speed to the quiz. Questions are read out by quiz host Chris and teams have ten seconds to submit their answer by pressing one button on their device screen. Answers are given immediately after the 10 second countdown, removing the need to swap answer papers for marking and making it impossible to cheat. Teams score 10 points for a correct answer and the fastest team to submit the correct answer is awarded bonus points.

With a range of questions in English from general knowledge, sports, music film and TV, SpeedQuizzing is suitable for all ages and all players are sure to have a great night out.

SpeedQuizzing has been running in the UK for around five years, and there are hundreds of UK based SpeedQuizzes every week – now it’s the Costa Blanca’s turn to join in the quiz revolution.

Pubs and bars can turn a quiet mid-week night into a packed house with players enjoying themselves with SpeedQuizzing! SpeedQuizzing is also ideal for corporate events, birthday parties and even weddings.

Join the SpeedQuizzing guys every Thursday from 8.00pm at Durty Nelly’s Irish Bar, Torrevieja and check out their Facebook page @CostaBlancaSpeedQuizzing or website www.costablancaspeedquizzing.com for more information.
