UK EuroMillions players pin £6.95 billion so far


AHEAD OF the 1,000th EuroMillions draw on Friday April 21, figures from reveal that UK players have scooped an amazing £6.95 billion so far.

EuroMillions was launched in February 2004, with players from the UK, France and Spain competing weekly for multimillion-pound prizes. Thirteen years on, there are now nine participating countries who play twice a week, and the game is about to be drawn for the one thousandth time.

Delving into its comprehensive results archive, can reveal that UK players have shared an amazing £6.95 billion between themselves, whilst the overall Europe-wide prize pool stands at €34.5 billion, with a week still to go until the milestone draw.

Ayrshire couple Christine and Colin Weir hold the honour of being the UK’s biggest ever EuroMillions winners, having banked £161.6 million in July 2011 and are closely followed by Adrian and Gillian Bayford of Cambridgeshire, who landed £148.6 million in August 2012.

To celebrate this monumental event, is giving away 1,000 tickets for the thousandth EuroMillions draw, helping the celebrations go with a bang!
