Altea win the spoils in local derby against La Nucia

A TIGHT 1-0 victory away for Altea, at the Ciutat Esportiva Camilo Cano, home ground of near neighbours La Nucia last weekend, means both sides head into the last two matches of the season with everything to play for.

The 63rd minute goal from Roberto Navarro, sealed the win that leaves Altea CD’s fate in their own hands, with the next game ahead being another local derby against Deportivo Callosa, lying three points ahead of them in the relegation battle.

At the other end of the table, la Nucia are still in the hunt for top position in the Group IV Regional Preferente Division.

After losing at home to the white shirts of Altea, La Nucia now lie two points behind leaders Villayosa, and four points ahead of Thader le Rojales with two matches still to play.
