Free English classes for job seekers in hospitality


FURENGIROLA’S Council is putting on a free course, teaching English specifically for those looking for a job in hospitality from 22 May to 2 June.

Entrants for the workshop, which has 15 places, must be resident of Fuengirola, be enrolled in the town’s employment programmed and preferably be unemployed.

Carmen Diaz, Councillor for Promotion and Local Development, said, “we continuously offer this type of training to locals so we can improve employment and skills.” She added, “hospitality is one of the most demanding fields and requires people with specific qualifications.”

The course will be taight over 50 hours, Monday to Friday and will involve classes on social skills, money, transport, cultural differences and customer service.
