Backing the wrong horse

THREE PEOPLE have been injured after a car hit a tourist horse and carriage in Nerja.

The vehicle’s driver supposedly collided with the oncoming horses outside the Enrique Lopez Cuenca stadium after being dazzled by the sun and not seeing them.
The three people on board were thrown from the carriage but suffered only minor bruising.

Both horses were injured however, with one having to be freed after becoming trapped under the cart and wounding its leg.

One lane of the N-340 was closed while emergency workers attended the accident.
