Benidorm loving the blues

THE THREE main sandy beaches of Benidorm, beloved by millions of tourists every year, have received the coveted European Blue Flag award for the next twelve months.

Playa Levante, Playa Poniente and Playa Mal Past, the small, tucked away beach at the foot of the Mirador del Castillo in Benidorm’s Old Town have all received the award.

Beaches awarded the Blue Flag must pass stringent environmental conditions such as water quality, information, environmental education, environmental management, safety, services and facilities.
