Benissa Social Services receive €226,760

BENISSA’S regidoria d’Accio Social has received a €226,760 grant from the Conselleria d’Igualtat i Politiques Inclusives.

The grant will be used to improve social services and assistance provisions for families and children (SEAF) with a substantial portion of the funds being used to employ more staff – psychologists, teachers, social workers and administrative workers.

The remaining portion of the funds will be used to cover expenses for the emergency programme and the home help programme along with SEAF.

Juan Manuel, Councillor for Social Action said, ‘with increased aid which we give more attention and we can be closer to more people in need,’ subsidies that are in line with the increase in social support the government team, committed to greater social welfare of citizens.’

The €226,760 is an increase on grants received in previous years in line with new criteria of the Conselleria d’Igualtat i Politiques Inclusives.
