Calpe & District 41 Club celebrates 11th anniversary

CALPE & DISTRICT 41 Club Ladies’ Night also marked the 11th anniversary of the chartering of this thriving club. A total of 65 members and guests celebrated the success of the club and paid tribute to the club’s female members.

Chairman, Keith Beaman welcomed National President (UK & Ireland), Dave Campbell, together with his wife Pauline. This was their second visit to the club and ‘the second of many.’

Past Chairman David Welpton said Grace, and Past Chairman Malcolm Lee proposed the Loyal Toast.

Chairman, Keith Beaman proposed the toast to the Ladies, and to the Association.

The response and the toast to the club was made by National President Dave Campbell.

Dave also presented Keith with his presidential banner.

Finally (before the dancing), Founder Chairman, Andrew Johnson thanked Dave and proposed the Final Toast.

Puerto Blanco played host, once again, to the event and the club express their greatest thanks to Patrick, Maria and the team for their marvelous efforts and spectacular service.

The music was provided by the club’s good friend Barry ‘The Swing Man’ Peters – and members, wives and guests danced into the early hours.

Members were delighted to welcome Past President, Gordon Macnab and Elaine, especially as Gordon is now Vice Chairman of neighbouring club (Costa Blanca), which originally presented Calpe with the Chairman’s Jewel.

On the following day, around 15 members met with Dave and Pauline and Keith and Paula for coffee by the Levante beach, followed by another delicious meal at old favourite, Regatta.

41 Club was established as a social forum for ex-members of the service organisation, Round Table. To find out more visit the website
