Centre to support parents

A CENTRE for parents with children in Murcian schools will open ready for the 2017/ 2018 academic year.

The Escuela de Padres (school of parents) is an initiative of the Department of Education, Relation with Universities and Heritage, directed by Rafael Gomez.

The council intends the space to be interactive, ‘where the theoretical is conjugated with the practical and all are encouraged to contribute with tales of personal experience.’

The centre will be open to the families of students in both primary and secondary schools and attendance will be credited with a diploma to certify participation in the talks.

The talks will cover topics such as the use of new technologies, bullying, family relationships, poor eating and nutrition habits and the consequences when children change school.
