Changes for Benissa City Council

0

BENISSA IS implementing a new administrative model just a few months after the resignation of Mayor Juan Bautista Roussillon.

The new model will see increased participation in European projects (Eurodisea), the reorganisation of the function structure of the City Council and new tender processes amongst other changes.

The changes come after a review was commissioned to study the structure and working methods of the Council.

The review detected malfunctions, including obsolete systems of work, the need to incorporate more human resources and backlogs of work across numerous municipal departments.

A representative from Benissa’s governing team said, ‘the work being done in these months, in collaboration with the team of technical specialists and general municipal team has allowed in a few months to achieve efficiency levels of service more appropriate and consistent with the needs that demand our town and our citizens.’
