Fuengirola´s volunteers celebrated

FUENGIROLA HAS held its first ever gala celebrating the good work carried out by the town’s volunteers at the Palacio de la Paz.

The event, which was also a posthumous tribute to tireless local volunteer Rocio Alfaro Calvo, recognised 14 people who give their time up for free to help various organisation.

Francisco Jose Martin, Councillor for Social Services, said the event formed part of “the festivities celebrating the 175th anniversary of our town,” adding, “we could not forget the social and volunteer fabric Fuengirola has.

Various local associations do their best in helping people with particular difficulties.” The evening’s events were rounded off by a performance by singer, Anabel Conde.
