Experts assess storm damage to Costa del Sol beaches

BEACHES IN Marbella have suffered extensive damage following recent storms on the Costa del Sol.

In addition to sand loss, the beaches have suffered damage to pipes, showers, footbridges and seawalls.

With only a few weeks to go until the tourist season, the town’s council has swung into action. Experts have been on the coastline assessing the extent of the damage and have already reinstated key services such as showers.

While all Marbella’s beaches were affected, La Fontanilla and La Chapa were hit hardest, with storms even bringing water into coastal restaurants and bars.
