Healthy walking programme

ON A glorious morning some two weeks ago, 23 walkers of the Moraira-Teulada U3A Walking Group climbed to the 11 windmills above Javea, stopping at the top to take in the fantastic views of Javea itself and the coast south to Calpe.

The group is led by John Dimsdale and walks are held every week on a Tuesday and Thursday.

The walks are of approximately one hour duration – the faster walkers take to the front with the leader, whilst those who need to take it a little slower are accompanied at the rear by another leader.

All U3A members are welcome to join.

Be sure to wear adequate shoes. For some, a walking stick or Nordic walking sticks might come in handy.

No prior notice needs to be given to participate – just turn up at the starting point.

For more information, check out the Moraira-Teulada U3A website – – where you will also find walking schedules.
