Javea U3A in search of the Northern Lights

MEMBERS OF the Javea U3A’s Travellers’ Tales group were treated to a very informative and highly amusing presentation recently as group member Felicity Arnott described her and husband Bob’s trip ‘In search of the Northern Lights’.

The audience at the Javea Players Studio followed the couple’s travels aboard the Hurtigruten cruise line ship through the Norwegian Fjords as Felicity described wonderful snow scenes and their crossing of the Arctic Circle, complete with a bumpy ride on a sledge pulled by a team of huskies.

Throughout the presentation, there was only one question on everyone’s lips: did Felicity and Bob indeed see the magic of the Northern Lights?

The secret was kept right until the end when Felicity revealed two photographs which she had taken showing magical green and purple streaks in the sky.

That was all the proof her delighted audience needed!
