Legal eagles hampered by termites

THE Bar Association of Torremolinos has demanded action after an infestation of termites has ruined archives in the town’s judicial building.

The association’s dean has written to the High Court of Justice of Andalusia, General Council of the Judiciary, Provincial Court and Junta de Andalucia, calling on the court to be fumigated, after leaving files in an “unrecoverable condition.”

Those working in the building have described the situation as “unbearable” after finding the insects between documents, and on the walls and floors. The building is also said to suffer from leaks and damp, causing lawyers to ask for investment for improvements.
