BUDDING young chefs are sure to love Fuengirola Council’s latest free event, a pastry course held on 24 and 25 May.

The classes, which will take place from 6pm to 8pm in the kitchen of Edificio Colores de los Boliches, are aimed at those between 16 and 35 years-old and form part of the council’s three-month long scheme, Young Spring, providing free events for the area’s 10,000 young people.

Pedro Vega, Councillor for Youth, said, “we would like the largest number of young people in Fuengirola to participate, as it is free and we think it is quite interesting.” He added, “it is a basic confectionery course… taught by Juan Pablo Gosatti, a businessman from Fuengirloa who runs a creperie on the Paseo Maritimo.”

He went on to explain, “this course will teach about making crepes, waffles, cupcakes and general pastry, which has lately received a lot of attention, especially on social networks, and we believe that it will be interesting for young people.”

Fifteen places are available on the course. Those interested should contact the town hall with a photocopy of their NIE and fill out an enrollment form.
