UNTIL this Sunday, a fleet of vintage cars from 1920 to 1965 are taking place in the SOTOGRANDE RALLY 2017.
The five-day event saw around 50 exceptional models start off on Wednesday from Seville, racing off the beaten track along a backdrop of spectacular roads, charming white hill villages and magnificent mountain scenery.
Just before the race’s start, the drivers were issued with pace notes providing full information about the route, checkpoints and neutralisation points. The cars will cover around 300 km per day, mainly on public roads, with intermediate dexterity and speed tests.
Today the cars will go from Plaza de Corredera in Cordoba, between 8.30 am and 10.30am for a tour around the Andalusian countryside, in the direction of Sotogrande. A speed test,
The FLYING ¼ MILE, will be held from 3.30pm to 6pm at the Guardiaro River Bridge in Sotogrande.
Between 3.45pm and 6.15pm cars will be welcomed at the Marina Sotogrande against the backdrop of shops, restaurants and bars.
Tomorrow, the vintage cars will set off at 9am, exploring some of Andalucia’s hidden treasures, returning at 3.30pm for The LA RESERVA HILL CLIMB.
The rally officially wraps up on Saturday evening with a prize-giving ceremony and a gala dinner for specially invited guests.
