SIX BANDS from Spain, Finland, Poland and Italy are due to play at the second European Rock’n Roll Meeting in Torremolinos on 12 and 13 May.

The event, which will take place at the town’s Rowing Ground in Carihuela, begins at noon and ends at 8pm, with free entrance.

Friday’s festivities will see Polish five-piece, Monkeys & The Baboons, kick off proceedings, after which Malaga band, Ric & The Dukes will play. Finnish quartet, Shoebox Revue will play at around 2pm, after which The Toreadors and Bert Blackmont & The Bucks will perform.

Saturday will see the same bands play, but in a different order, delighting fans with early rock and roll music, as well as jazz and the blues.
