Shaking all over as quake jolts Costa del Sol

0

AN EARTHQUAKE measuring 3.6 degrees on the Richter scale has rocked the Costa del Sol, to the East of Malaga.

It was just before noon when the quake was felt, the epicentre of which was in the Sierra de Cacin.

It has been reported that thousands of those living to the east of Malaga, particularly those with homes in the hills, felt the quake, which took place at 12 kilometres below the earth; making it more noticeable than deeper events.

The emergency services did not receive any calls apart from one household in Torrox which reported feeling a “strong jolt”. The person was not injured, nor was any property damaged.
