Spring has sprung for Fuengirola festival

EL BOQUETILLO is to host a fun-filled festival to welcome Spring on Saturday, May 6.

The event, which takes place from 12 pm, will bring in kid’s activities, music and craft workshops, paella and drinks for everyone, all for free.

The festival, which is in its third year, will take place on Calles Valle Inlcan and Perez Galdos, which will be festooned with flowers to celebrate the new season.

Isabel Moreno, Fuengirola’s Councillor for Festivals, explained, “we want it to be an enjoyable day for residents”, confirming there will also be rice tasting and a charanga, an ensemble playing traditional Cuban music.

She added, the day will, “celebrate the arrival of spring as is fitting, and that is why we want El Boquetillo to have a real party. I take this opportunity to encourage all the residents to join in all the fun.”
