A TOTAL of 70 companies have submitted tenders for works to the La Lobilla urbanisation in Estepona, which has a budget of €738,599.85.
The successful company will be tasked with creating two new roads, as well as a green space of around 9,185 square metres. They will also install pavements, signage and waste facilities, as well as street lighting and furniture.
Construction has been pending completion since 2008, and is financed by bank guarantees from the first developers who worked on the site.
Estepona’s Councillor for Development, Infrastructure and Tourism, Ana Valesco, explained, “after a drawn-out administrative procedure, the town has finally managed to use the guarantees given by the initial developers to carry out the works necessary to complete these facilities.”
