THE RUSTY NAIL, Pinar de Campoverde will play host to a weekend-long fundraising event June 2-3.
The event, an initiative of The Rusty Nail’s Landlord, Jimmy, will raise funds to purchase a defibrillator (or two!) for the village.
Entertaining the crowds on Friday (today) from 8.00pm will be ‘Cherry K’, followed by ‘Bee’ on Saturday from 2.00pm – 5.00pm and ‘Terry Jay’ on Saturday from 8.00pm.
There will be plenty of stalls to peruse – from Shoe Amor, Preeva Jewellry, Nina’s Cakes & Savouries, Canniplus and many more offering handmade cards and gifts.
There will be a raffle and a tombola for those guests who might be feeling lucky…
A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest.
This high-energy shock is called defibrillation and it’s an essential life-saving step in the chain of survival.
Once the defibrillator(s) have been purchased, Jimmy and the team hope to host events at The Rusty Nail to train members of the community on how to use them.
