Third anniversary of disappearance of Javea schoolgirl Khrystyna Savenchuk

MISSING: Khrystyna Savenchuk

LAST WEEKEND marked the third anniversary of the disappearance of Khrystyna Savenchuk, the 15-year-old girl who was a student at the Instituto Numero 1 de Xabia.

Students, teachers and Councillor for Education, Montse Willaverde gathered at an event to remember Khrystyna, expressing hope of seeing her again – ‘we would like to see you again in the corridors of the institute, we do not forget you,’ said one of her companions.

The students clapped loudly for an entire minute in the hope that ‘Khrystyna will hear us, wherever she is.’

Professor Tere Catala warned students of the dangers of social media – ‘Khrystyna may have known someone through a social network who deceived her,’ he added.
