Two caught red-handed in Mazarron robbery

OFFICERS OF Murcia’s Guardia Civil stopped and arrested two robbers in their tracks earlier this week as they attempted to loot a house in Mazarron.

The owner of a holiday home in Puerto de Mazarron came home to spot two young people in his property.

The home owner called the Guardia Civil and officers arrived at the scene within minutes.

The robbers appeared to have accessed the balcony using a ladder and entered the property through a sliding window.

They already had in their hands various appliances and ornamental items belonging to the home owner that they had intended on stealing.

After indentifying the robbers – one, a 35-year-old Spanish man from Beniel with a criminal record and the other, a minor, officers proceeded to arrest both of them.

The older robber has since been found to have robbed a property in the same area at the end of last year.
