A sunny afternoon of song in Orba

LOCAL SONGSTERS Valley Voices shared a sunny afternoon with an audience at the Citrus Bar in Orba last Friday.

A collection of easy listening songs was sung in the shaded garden as temperature reached the high 30s.

Cake and cava was served on arrival and the Valley Voice express their greatest thanks to Jackie and her mum, Mary whom together baked the sweet spread.

The songsters also send their thanks to – the waiting staff at the Citrus Bar and Garcia Villas for their sponsorship which has enabled the purchase of a new keyboard.

Of course, not to forget Aileen Lightfoot, Valley Voices’ musical director and Kirsty Glen, their regular pianist along with Heather Butcher who has stepped in to play when needed.

Valley Voices will take a break for the summer but will resume on Monday September 4 at the Jalon Valley Animo Centre in Alcalali from 6.00pm.

If you like to sing and are interested in joining Valley Voices, contact Aileen on 696 514 613 or Jennie on 966 480 062.
