Nueva Andalucia beach accessibility improved

MARBELLA’S Council has undertaken a series of improvements to increase accessibility to the beach in the El Rodeito area of Nueva Andalucia, one of the town’s most popular spaces.

Councillor for Mobility, Miguel Diaz, explained that the area has historically presented problems with accessibility, “with a very narrow two-way street and inconvenient parking, which made getting across very difficult.” He added “it was lao worrying from a point of view of emergencies because of the traffic that used to build up.”

He explained the road layout has been restructured, generating 63 parking spaces, as well as disabled bays as the beach is expected to offer adapted bathing services. In addition, a pedestrian crossing has also been installed giving immediate access to the beach.
