MIJAS Council it to finish works to the Fuente la Higuera urbanisation after the original contractor failed to complete them.
Jose Carlos Martin, Councillor for Infrastructure, visited the site, which will take place just below the IES Villa de Mijas, to assess the urbanisation’s current condition and estimate how long works will take. He said the €51,658 has been invested for the project, which, “takes place over 748 square metres, beginning a week ago and continuing throughout June. Residents will be able to enjoy the improvements in time for the summer.”
The Council has used a guarantee given by the original construction company to cover the costs of the roadworks, as well as “the provision of services such as the water supply network, sewage separation, telecommunications and electric cables, as well as paving,” according to Martin.
