Encouraging children into music

THE CENTRO Artístico Musical de Javea will host a special event this Saturday as it celebrates the second year of the Fira de la Musica – encouraging children into music.

The Riurau d’Arnauda will act as stage for the day’s events, which begin at 10.00am with breakfast for the children as the students of the Centro Artístico Musical discuss their experiences at the centre and the benefits of getting into music at a young age.

Workshops will run from 11.30am until 2.00pm and children can sample and test instruments and even learn how to make their own.

Throughout the morning, there will be live performances from different groups of the Centro Artístico Musical and a bar service will be open for the adults.

The festivities will close as all groups come together at 1.30pm for a show-stopping finale.

The event is supported by the Department of Culture directed by Quico Moragues, who encourages all parents to bring their children along for a fun, enriching day out.
