ON SUNDAY May 14, members of the Ermita del Popul Church, Javea, together with friends and members of other churches within the Costa Blanca Anglican Chaplaincy gathered together at the home of Andrew and Judi Ramsay, for an ‘Al Fresco’ BBQ.
Guests were spoiled by both the weather and the meal – chefs Andrew Ramsay and Mike Harvey serving up an assortment of meats whilst ‘sous-chef’ members helped in the preparation and presentation of the salads and desserts.
Not a morsel was wasted, with the odd ‘doggy-bag’ being given to members as they left.
A big vote of thanks was afforded to all who helped in such a successful event for the Church, including barman, Terry Ewers, Ex-Warden of Gandia Church, who did a splendid job of ensuring glasses were replenished as and when necessary and of course, Andrew and Judi Ramsay, for their hospitality, which was warmly applauded by all.
As with all Church social events a Cava Draw and Raffle was held – the proceeds of which, together with the profit on the meal raised an outstanding €550 for Church funds.
