Life’s a beach in Benalmadena

THREE of Benalmadena’s beaches are set for a makeover in time for the busy tourist season.

Torremuelle, La Perla and Las Yucas beaches will benefit from renewed sand as well as the installation of stairs and ramps to improve accessibility.

Encarnacion Coretes, Councillor for Beaches, explained, “the council’s initiative has included Torremuelle beach, which is one of the most deteriorated and has been the subject of work for the second year in a row, with the replacement of sand in the Carvajal area.”

She continued by assuring the works were almost complete, although some small works still remain. She explained, “I think we can say that the beaches of Benalmadena are now ready to welcome tourists.”

La Perla’s beach has had its vehicle access ramp repaired, measuring around 75 metres, while 60 metres of Torremuelle’s railings have been replaced and 20 metres of Las Yucas beach now have new access stairs.
