Mayonnaise mask for soft, shiny hair

0

THIS BEST beauty advice from grandma actually works!

The egg yolk in the mayonnaise has lecithin, which is supposed to encourage hair growth. The vinegar is good for exfoliating the scalp and the oils are great for conditioning.

This mask is very nourishing for damaged hair – it helps to smooth, hydrate and it’s inexpensive.

The recipe:

1 cup mayonnaise
1 egg
1 to 2 teaspoons oil (olive, coconut, almond, jojoba, etc.) optional.

Mix the ingredients together when they are at room temperature and apply to warm wet hair (use warm to hot water to get your hair moist and warm.)

Cover your hair and let your hair absorb the mask for for 1-2 hours.

Wash hair immediately.

This mask may leave an odour and you might want to wash your hair twice.
