Benidorm’s Mediterraneo plans afoot

BENIDORM CITY technicians are studying plans submitted for the redevelopment of Avenida Mediterraneo, the two lane highway, which runs parallel to Levante beach, one block back from the seafront.

Only one tender was received from companies wishing to undertake the project, expected to cost multi millions of euros.

The plans submitted by Esteyco Consultants, will include ashphalting, pavement repairs and the creation of a new roundabout and is expected to be complete before the summer of 2018.

Barcelona based, Esteyco have a long history of work on similar projects in Spain and Latin America, particularly in their home city.
Projects such as the Forum of Cultures (2004), the new neighborhood Maria del Prat Vermell, access to Sants station and Square of Las Glorias and its surroundings.
The same firm also designed the footbridge over the River Segre plus a bridge over the Henares passing through Guadalajara.
