Manilva ‘packed’ for first Gay Pride parade

MANILVA’S first ever Gay Pride parade, organised by the town’s council, saw the streets packed with enthusiastic crowds cheering on the many brightly-decorated floats.

ADANA, the Estepona-based dog charity, was proud to be part of the celebrations and over thirty of the organisation’s volunteers and board members accompanied a float, shaking their collection boxes.

President, Mary Page, said ADANA relied heavily on community support and wanted to give something back. She thanked all those who had helped make the night such a success and promised ADANA would be ready to take part in any future community celebration.

After the parade through the town of Sabinillas, revellers proceeded on foot to Duquesa Port, where they were entertained by a variety of top quality acts.
