Sexual diversity taught on Costa del Sol

0

THE COSTA DEL SOL has gained its first campaign promoting sexual diversity after two bus stops in Rincon de la Victoria have featured posters with a photo of a baby and the phrase, “my daughter, my son, maybe she’s a lesbian… maybe he’s gay… maybe transsexual… or even straight.”

The campaign, which is the first of its kind in the province, aims to promote sexual diversity and tolerance, and was launched by the town’s council, alongside the Andalucian Rainbow Federation and the Family Diversity Association for Parents with LGTBI Children.

Starting out in Gaudix, Granada, the campaign aims to “ensure the fulfilment of emerging human rights, including sexual and reproductive rights.” Yolanda Florido, Councillor for Social Welfare, explained it hoped to normalise the “diversity, orientations and identities within families.”

The campaign started out at the end of May with four posters, but two have since been withdrawn “to promote upcoming events.”
