Cherry valley trip for U3A Marina Baixa

0

THE BEAUTIFUL cherry valley’s of Vall de Gallinera, Vall d’Alcala and Vall d’Ebo were the destinations for 42 members of the U3A Marina Baixa who left Albir last Friday.

The first stop for the group was the village of L’Atzubia, for coffee and other formalities, before driving through the beautiful aforementioned valleys, stopping on the way at the local co-operative where they were able to buy and consume an awful lot of gorgeous sweet cherries.

Fortunately, not enough cherries were consumed to prevent the party enjoying a fabulous late lunch in Pego, before heading back to the coast and re-joining the AP-7 for their return to Albir.

Rob and Liz arranged the excellent trip, which was enjoyed by all who attended and coach driver, Marco, did a brilliant job negotiating the many hairpin bends encountered on the journey.

U3A Marina Baixa holds its general meetings on the fourth Monday of each month at the auditorium in the Casa de Cultura Alfaz del Pi.

The next meeting is on Monday 26th June. The doors open at 9.30am and the desks close at 10.50am for a prompt 11.00 am start.

Please come early to sign in and get your seat! The General Meetings are normally always on the fourth Monday of the
month.

Anyone who hasn’t heard of this association and would like to join them can be assured of a very warm welcome.
